TO MAKE:
1. Print or copy activity onto cardstock, color and cut out.
2. Place a safety pin on the badge to pin to the child’s clothing.
STORY: Tell the story “Safety and the Spirit” when talking about laws that make us safe, talk about wearing your bike helmet to make you safe. The story in the Friend magazine July 2014 (HERE) how a boy follows the Holy Ghost telling him to wear his helmet and what happened because he obeyed.
THOUGHT TREAT: Five Olives on Five Fingers. Ask children to name five rules in their family to keep them safe and happy, such as picking up toys so others don’t fall on them, putting away their clothes so they will know where they are, or waiting for their turn at doing something so everyone will have a turn and no one will feel left out.
