ACTIVITIES:
POST-AND-PRESENT. GO BANANAS OVER SERVICE Action – Reaction match. Youth will learn not to monkey around but to go bananas when it comes to service. Why? Because by serving others they are free to serve. Turn banana pieces over to match up names to learn who does what. Then hang them on the monkey.
YOUTH GOAL ACTIVITY. SPREAD A LITTLE SUNSHINE! sunny-action planner. Youth write on each sun-ray how they plan to spread a little sunshine. Then, when the service is complete they can tear the action strip off and write their experiences on the back.
SCRIPTURE MEMORIZATION. SERVE GOD BY SERVING OTHERS Mosiah 2:17 scripture poster/card set. Youth can learn from this scripture they can serve three people at the same time (1) Fellow beings; (2) God; and (3) Themselves as they improve their countenance and feelings of self-worth. Mosiah 2:17: “When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.”
