What Can I Do Now to Prepare for the Savior’s Second Coming?

This BUNDLE is to give youth leaders many activities to teach the above theme for the bi-weekly lesson.
Look for these activity handouts to help you teach lesson concepts and give them TEACHING TOOLS to plan and develop lesson objectives. These lesson-match interactive activities will add to and enhance your lessons.
LESSON-MATCH ACTIVITIES IN THIS BUNDLE INCLUDES (detailed below):
(1) Live the gospel.
What did we discuss last time, and what invitations or assignments were made? What have we done to act on those invitations or assignments?
YOUTH GOAL PLANNER. GOOD WORKS PROJECT PLANNER. Here, youth can plan individual or group service projects or personal goals in all the balanced life areas (Luke 2:52). They can write the PROJECT PLAN and STEPS; then record how they felt about the project and how they feel about GOOD WORKS.
(2) Care for those in need.
What can we do or say to reach out to those who might feel alone or distant from Heavenly Father?
YOUTH LESSON ACTIVITY. ANCHOR FRIEND-‘SHIP’ MOTIVATORS on friendship and fellowship. THE FRIEND-SHIP message: If you were in the same boat needing an eternal friend, what would you need on your journey, and whom would you depend on? Youth can learn how to be an anchor, a steady one to help and aid their friends with scriptures and wordstrip challenges.
(3) Invite all to receive the gospel.
What are some ways we can help others feel the love of Jesus Christ?
POST-AND-PRESENT. STORIES OF JESUS Heart-to-Heart Match Game. As youth match hearts with hearts they can get to know the Savior and His purpose for coming to earth. The “2B” JESUS HEART tell how Jesus showed His love. Example: “Jesus showed His love by being baptized to show that everyone must be baptized.” This matches the “2A” SYMBOL HEART “John the Baptist asked Jesus, who had never sinned, why He wanted to be baptized.”
(4) Unite families for eternity.
What ideas can we share with each other to help strengthen our families?
YOUTH GOAL ACTIVITY. EXTENDED FAMILY CLOSENESS: Be a Friend checklist and postcard. Youth can send this “You’re a STAR of the family!” postcard to an extended family member with a note of admiration and friendship. Then, use the FAMILY CLOSENESS CHECKLIST for ideas to gather that family member closer.
