CRAFT ACTIVITY – My Gift to Jesus Is to Be like Him – Kind Deeds Advent Necklace
1. Print or copy the activity and Dear Parents note page*. Punch holes in circles and slip yarn through as shown to slip around child’s neck. *Give note to parents, explaining how to use the necklace.
2. Place twelve gold stars in a plastic bag for each child. Then attach the parents’ note to the bag so they will know what to do with the gold stars—placing them on the child’s forehead or on the corresponding circle for kind deeds done.
3. This Kind Deeds advent necklace will remind children of kind deeds they can do each day for twelve days before Christmas.
THOUGHT TREAT: Star cookies. Frost star-shaped cookies. Tell children about that special star that was brighter than all the stars in the sky that night, leading the shepherds to Jesus.
