Baptized Like Jesus baptism water wheel
Use this activity for NUSERY and SUNBEAMS (Ages 1-5)
ACTIVITY: After we are baptized, we can receive a special priesthood blessing to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost to guide us to make righteous choices (like Jesus).
BAPTISM puts us on the covenant path that leads us back to heaven. We can stay on this covenant path as we obey God’s commandments.
CRAFT ACTIVITY – I Can Be Baptized in Water like Jesus – Baptism Water Wheel
1. Print or copy the activity scene. The scene shows how a child can be baptized in the water (by immersion) like Jesus. Attach the wheel to the sun frame with a paper fastener. Glue the water to the sun-frame where indicated.
2. Turn the wheel to show how figures go under the water to be baptized. Tell children that at age eight they can be baptized in the water like Jesus.
THOUGHT TREAT: Water cookie. Frost a sugar cookie with blue frosting to look like water. Be sure to give them water to drink and talk about how water is used for many things.
