Click the following to find Nursery Lesson 1 – I Am a Child of God.
OBJECTIVE for Lesson I am a Child of God: The lesson helps children realize they are loved sons or daughters of Heavenly Father who knows them personally and loves them.

In the Optional Activities Preparation section in the manual, they are asking that a photo is brought for each child (at the beginning of nursery) for a poster activity. You can copy this photo to place in the crown activity below.
CRAFT ACTIVITY – I Am a Child of God – Crown
Give each child a crown (shown) to create. Tell children that they can wear it to remind them that they are a prince or princess child of God. If you don’t have a photo of the child you can draw a picture of the child in the crown.
THOUGHT TREAT For I Am a Child of God Lesson: Prince or Princess Cookie. Roll and cut out sugar or gingerbread cookie dough into girl and boy shapes (or a simple round cookie you can frost a face on). Cut a small crown to place on top. Bake and frost cookies, placing small candies for crown jewels. Help children visualize what it was like living in heaven with a spirit body and coming to earth to gain a body of flesh and bones.
