Gift of the Holy Ghost gift package
OBJECTIVE: Help children understand that the Holy Ghost helps us with many things.
Use this activity for NURSERY and SUNBEAMS (Ages 1-5)
CRAFT ACTIVITY – The Gift of the Holy Ghost – Gift Package
1. Copy the gift package that follows for each child. Cut a soft piece of fabric to enclose. Cut a slit on the line to insert the heart, Holy Ghost, and soft fabric as you tell them He is the Comforter.
2. This Holy Ghost gift package shows children that the Holy Ghost is a special gift we can receive after we are baptized.
3. Explain that the Holy Ghost does not have a body, so He can be Heavenly Father’s and Jesus’s helper. He can whisper the truth in our hearts and minds. He can help us make the right choices. He can warn us if danger is near. He can give us a feeling of peace when we are sad. He is our Comforter (show soft piece of fabric).
THOUGHT TREAT: Heart-shaped cookie (or bread cut into a heart shape).

Youth know from singing this that we are each “a child of God sent here” to this “earthly home” where God can lead and guide and teach us to again “live with him someday.” There are “Rich blessings in store” where if we “learn to do his will” we can “live with him once more” to have “Celestial glory” if we “endure.” Write words on cue cards. They can place the images in the pocket and a “comfort” cloth. On the back they learn: The Holy Ghost will: 1. Help me know what is right. 2. Help me know that Jesus and Heavenly Father are real. 3. Give me comfort and help.
