AGES 1-5 FOLLOW IN JESUS’S STEPS example sandals. Help children learn that Jesus is the perfect example that we can follow. Put on the sandals to walk in His steps as you talk about things Jesus did to live God’s commandments. For example, be kind, smile, love others, be helpful, say “please” and “thank you.”

Little LESSON LIFESAVER Activity
Follow in the Footsteps of Jesus example sandals
OBJECTIVE: Help children learn to set a good example to others by following the example of Jesus.
CRAFT ACTIVITY – Follow in Jesus’s Steps – Example Sandals
1. Print or copy and cut out the activity.
2. Children can wear Example Sandals over their shoes/around ankles to remind them to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Place double-stick tape between sandals and shoes to keep on.
THOUGHT TREAT: Footprint cookie. Roll sugar cookie dough into two-inch balls. Make an imprint in the dough with the side of the fist. Press with fingers at the top to make toes. To color toenails, mix food coloring with sugar in the bottle and shake well. Sprinkle on toes, or mix 1 teaspoon of canned milk with food coloring and paint toes. Bake at 350° for 8–10 minutes.
