Little LESSON LIFESAVER Activity
Because of Adam and Eve
Because of Jesus Christ
I CAN RETURN MAZE
OBJECTIVE: To help the children understand the fall of Adam and Eve and to have a desire to return to the presence of Heavenly Father.
ACTIVITY: I Can Return maze
Help children learn the second article of faith: “We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression.” Using two different colored markers, follow each arrow to find what Adam and Eve and Jesus Christ did to help us gain immortality and eternal life.

Answers:
1. Because of Adam and Eve: “We could be born on the earth, we know good from evil, we became separated from Heavenly Father, and we will die someday.”
2. Because of Jesus Christ: “We will live again after we die, we can return to our Heavenly Father if we repent, and we have a perfect example to follow.”
MORE LESSON IDEAS See Lesson 4 and enrichment Activity 3 in the Primary 6 Old Testament manual (see details below*)
TO MAKE Print and cut out the I Can Return Maze for each child.
THOUGHT TREAT Eternal Life Licorice Rope. Give each child a two-foot string of licorice to eat as you discuss the strait and narrow path that leads to eternal life. Read 2 Nephi 31:18. Straighten out the licorice piece. Talk about the many temptations that come as we journey back to the presence of our Heavenly Father, how you can stay on the straight path, and how to say “no” to temptation.
. . . Review the enrichment activity 3, for which the above activity illustrates.
SCRIPTURE CARDS: Help children Search and Ponder this scripture card by filling in the blanks. PRINT this 5 x 7 scripture card from the pdf included with the above activity. You can punch the two holes on the left and tie a ribbon to attach cards or use two metal rings to connect cards.

MORE LESSON IDEAS FOR (the above activity)
The Fall. Adam and Eve partook of the forbidden fruit and were cast out of the Garden of Eden. This changed them from being immortal (never dying) into mortal beings. This made it possible for them to:
#1 Adam and Eve could have children. Then their children could have children. This made it possible for our parents to have us so we could COME TO EARTH.
Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee.”
#2 Adam and Eve were given knowledge so they could choose good from evil.
This made it possible for us to make choices to have AGENCY.
Genesis 3:22 “And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil.”
#3 Adam and Eve were taught the gospel after leaving the garden.
This made it possible for us to learn how to LIVE God’s commandments so we can return to live in heaven again.
John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
SUMMARY: “We needed a chance to prove that we could choose good over evil. Gaining a physical body, having the privilege of choice, being separated from God, and being subject to death were all part of Heavenly Father’s plan for us to become like him.”
