Obedience Blessing Blockbuster Game
OBJECTIVE: To strengthen each youth’s desire to obey God’s commandments and righteous leaders. Talk about the blessings that come from obedience. Meaning: When we keep doing what is right, even when it is hard, God promises that good things will come.
Galatians 6:9 “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
ACTIVITY: Blessings Blockbuster game
Encourage youth to name ways we are blessed from being obedient.
To Play: Divide into two teams.
Take turns rolling the block. Record and award the number of points for each team as you roll the block. If rolling a number, award 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 points as indicated on the block.
If you roll Blessing Blockbuster, you earn 6 points.
Each time you roll, draw and read a blessing card, then say how you are blessed by obeying the action on the card. The team with the most points wins!
TO MAKE: Print and cut out the Blessings Blockbuster game for each child. Fold box tabs and glue together stuffing cotton balls or tissue inside the box (and glue tabs to close box).
THOUGHT TREAT Big “O” Obedience Doughnuts. Give each youth a DOughnut and and talk about the first two letters being “DO.” When we DO or obey God’s commandments and righteous leaders we are blessed.

Doctrine and Covenants 82:10 – “I, the Lord, am bound when ye do what I say; but when ye do not what I say, ye have no promise.”
