Part 1

I Identified These Divine Qualities in the above Scriptures

*SERVE LIKE THE SAVIOR QUOTE: Service makes us strong in our faith and useful in His kingdom. Service gives us purpose and courage in life. It brings us closer to God and helps us refine our divine nature. It teaches us to love and understand our fellowmen, and it helps us forget about our personal desires, eliminating selfishness, pride, and ingratitude. It teaches us to think of the needs of others, which allows us to develop the virtues that the Savior possesses” Elder Carlos H. Amado Of the Seventy TALK: Service, a Divine Quality (READ MORE)

Part 2

I Memorized My Favorite Verse from the above Scriptures

QUOTE ON BECOMING GODLIKE THROUGH FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT

Explain that by following Heavenly Father’s plan and living the gospel of Jesus Christ, we can return to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus and eventually become gods ourselves. To become godlike while we are on earth, we want to develop the qualities and attitudes that Heavenly Father and Jesus have. These qualities and attitudes are some of the fruits of the Spirit.

Explain that another word for fruits is results. We receive these qualities and attitudes as the results of living the gospel.”

YOUTH LESSON ACTIVITY.  FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT decision maker. Compare this fruit tree with repentance (“a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit”). Replace those actions with right actions (“good fruit bringeth forth good fruit”). This way the Holy Ghost can guide us to make righteous decisions. Our rewards are FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT. They are love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance.  READ MORE

YOUTH GOAL ACTIVITY. DECISIONS DETERMINE DESTINY planner. Youth can go miles and miles with this planner by driving their goals from HOME to SCHOOL, to CHURCH, and to WORK. They can put themselves in the driver’s seat by making responsible decisions about each of these areas.
As they write their goals on the signs have them also think about the shapes of the signs, e.g., maybe the HOME sign goal might be to stop doing something, or the School sign’s shape might encourage them not to yield to temptations but to drive right on by.   READ MORE

The above Essay tells what the Prophet Joseph Smith told the assembled Saints in a general conference three months before he was martyred. “You have got to learn how to be a god yourself.” The Essay tells how this “process would be ongoing and would require patience, faith, continuing repentance, obedience to the commandments of the gospel and reliance on Christ.” Like ascending a ladder … (READ MORE).
