Heavenly Home/Earthly Home plastic spirit
and paper dolls
CRAFT
OBJECTIVE: The lesson helps children learn that they lived with Heavenly Father as spirits before we were born. On the top pocket, it reads, “I am Heavenly Father’s spirit child.”
Heavenly Father prepared a plan that allows us to come to earth and receive physical bodies to become like Him and return to His presence.
Use this activity for NURSERY and SUNBEAMS (Ages 1-5)
TO MAKE. Print a set of paper dolls for each boy or girl.
CRAFT ACTIVITY – Paper Dolls with Heavenly & Earthly Home
Talk about how we lived with Heavenly Father as spirits before we were born. Heavenly Father presented His plan for us to come to earth to receive physical bodies so we could be like Him and return to His presence.
1. Print or copy the activity. Cut out and mount pattern on a sheet of paper, then cut a slit where shown before mounting on edges only. Cut dolls out with head on the fold line of a sheet of plastic (to make spirit doll).
2. Use the plastic spirit body starting by sliding body in the heaven pre-earth life slot, then to earth joining spirit with the body, then heaven after death, and join again with the body to show resurrection state.
THOUGHT TREAT: (1) Heaven and Earth cookie. Frost a cookie with white clouds on top and chocolate earth on the bottom. (2) Heaven and Earth pudding art. Form a cloud and earth with vanilla and chocolate pudding on waxed paper. Eat the pudding picture.
