Talk about the POSTER ACTIVITY, saying, “My ears are such a blessing! Hear yourself buzz like a bee, ding like a bell, and sing a happy song!”
• Have sounds for children to hear and guess what they are (e.g., wind, buzz, can opening, bell or cell phone ringing, the voice of a mother or father calling).
• Take children for a walk outdoors to listen for the sounds of nature: birds singing, bees buzzing, wind blowing, etc. Then sit on the lawn and sing a nature song, e.g., “In the Leafy Treetops,” using the visuals from this singing activity Leafy Treetops birds and leaves pick-a-song (HERE, or poster below).

$1.50 Little LESSON LIFESAVER Activity for Come Follow Me – Primary and Home (family home evening), LDS, Christian, Bible Study
HOVER OVER or ZOOM IN (to view)

HOME ACTIVITY (at the bottom of the poster). Tell children they can take this HOME to share with family. It reads, “Let’s experience the many wonderful sounds that our ears can hear. Let’s listen to music together, hear a songbird, or hear the words ‘I love you.’”

THOUGHT TREAT: Crack, snap, and crunchy snacks. Share food that makes a sound when opened or eaten, like cracking a nut, snapping open a banana, or the crunching of cereal when you chew it. Listen for the sounds. Have children listen as you pour water into their cups. Ask them to be quiet before you make the sounds so all can hear. As they eat, have them listen for more sounds: knocking, pounding, clapping, etc.

YOUTH CAN TEACH
So, please let them teach as it helps them learn the gospel and grow their testimony as they share it.
