CRAFT ACTIVITY – I Can Do Many Things at Church! – Church Charm Bracelet
1. Print or copy the activity. To make the Church charm bracelet, punch holes in the charms and thread string through each, tying a knot between each to separate. Tie a knot at the end to slip onto child’s wrist.
2. Charms on bracelet show children the many things they can do at church to show good behavior. Show each picture and talk about the actions. Example: Eye (“read scripture stories”), Hand (“play kindly with friends”), Ear (“listen carefully to teachers”), and Mouth (“speak softly while in church”).
THOUGHT TREAT: Doll cookie. Cut out a gingerbread cookie girl and boy. Frost cookie after baking, or paint with cookie paints before baking. To make cookie paints, mix two teaspoons canned milk with food coloring. Spread on cookie dough with paint brush. As children eat cookie, talk about the eyes, hands, ears, and mouth that help us do many things at Church.
