ACTIVITY DAYS PLANNER
Sunday Fun Activities (brainstorm Sabbath activities and create an activity box):
1. Print and color the Sabbath Day Activity Box label and glue-on stickers, and the Super Sunday Sabbath Day Activities list.
2. Brainstorm worthy Sabbath day activities, review the list, and talk about how you feel the Spirit when you are engaged in worthy Sabbath day activities. Read Exodus 20:8-11. Talk about the importance of sharing the Sabbath day with your family.
3. Write select activities on cards so you can try one or two each week.
4. Create a Sabbath Day Activity Box to fill with Sabbath fun. Find a large box with a lid and cover it with wrapping paper or paint, then glue on Sabbath Day Activity Box label and suns. In the box, put the Super Sabbath Day Activity items listed on the handout, along with any others you think of. Meet with your family to decide which activities to complete.
THOUGHT TREAT (“Sun”day Cake). With bright yellow frosting, frost a two-layer round cake (frost heavy on the sides). Stick wafer cookies on the side to make sun rays. Talk about how the Sabbath Day Activity Box will help you create a sunny disposition and spread sunshine on “Sun”day with your family.
