OBJECTIVE: Help children follow the light or example of Jesus Christ.

TO MAKE: Using cardstock, print or copy images that follow. If printing the color version, simply cut out images and laminate them. For the black-and-white version, color, cut out, and laminate.

Tape the picture of Jesus in the center of the board or wall. Tape lightbulb images around the room for children to find.


SCRIPTURE TO MEMORIZE:
Memorize the Mosiah 18:10 scripture (shown) that follows.

LESSON IDEAS:

PICTURE: Obtain two pictures: One of Jesus being baptized and one of a child being baptized.

QUESTION: Ask, “What do we promise Heavenly Father when we are baptized?” and answer the question using the following sources to teach.

#1:  We take upon us the name of Jesus Christ and are called His sons and daughters

(2 Nephi 31:13-17; Mosiah 5:7-15; Alma 46:15; and Primary 4—Book of Mormon, lesson 12 enrichment Activity 3).

#2:  We promise we will always remember Jesus (3 Nephi 18:7-12; Doctrine and Covenants 20:77, 79; Primary 3—CTR B, lesson 32; Primary Video Collection, “Baptism”).

#3:  We promise we will keep His commandments (John 14:15; Mosiah 2:22; Primary 3—

CTR B, lesson 3; Primary 4—Book of Mormon, lesson 15).
