ACTIVITY: Memorize this John 14:26 scripture rebus poster:
“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
The illustrated words help children memorize the verse. Bear testimony that Jesus loves each of us, and so He has made it possible for us to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost to be a help, a teacher, a comfort, and a guide.

THOUGHT TREAT: Quilted comforter cookies. Say that the Holy Ghost is the comforter. He helps us feel warm inside when we choose the right. To Make Cookie: Roll out sugar cookie dough 1/4-inch thick, and cut out 3″x4″ cookies. Cut squares with a butter knife. Then paint squares with cookie paints before baking 350-degrees for 8-10 minutes. Cookie Paint (mix 2 teaspoons milk with a few drops of food coloring).
SCRIPTURE CARDS: Help children Search and Ponder this scripture card by filling in the blanks. PRINT this 5 x 7 scripture card from the pdf included with the above activity. You can punch the two holes on the left and tie a ribbon to attach cards or use two metal rings to connect cards.

Write each of the following references on a separate piece of paper. (For additional references about the Holy Ghost, see the Topical Guide in the LDS edition of the Bible.) You could have the children draw the papers from a container. Have the child look up the reference listed on the paper and tell what that verse says about the Holy Ghost.
John 14:26 (The Holy Ghost is called the Comforter; he will teach all things and help us remember things.)
John 15:26 (The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of truth; he will testify of Christ.)
John 16:13 (The Holy Ghost will guide us to all truth and will show us things in the future.)
