Brothers & Sisters Help – Baby Moses in the Bulrushes
LESSON: See Sunbeam Lesson 24 – I Love My Brothers and Sisters in the Primary 1 manual.
OBJECTIVE: Encourage children to show love for their brothers and sisters.
CRAFT ACTIVITY – Brothers & Sisters Help – Baby Moses in the Bulrushes
1. Print or copy the activity scene. Cut a slit in the basket to enclose the baby. Slide into the basket.
2. Using the baby Moses in the Bulrushes scene, you can show children how a sister helped her brother (Exodus 1:22–2:10). Move figures around to tell the story. Tell how Miriam, the baby’s sister, watched over her baby brother until he was safe. Then tell how the Pharaoh’s daughter saved Moses from danger (Exodus 2:1–10).
THOUGHT TREAT: Smiling family fudge. Make some fudge by melting in the microwave 2 minutes at a time (stir in-between):
Mix & Melt: 1 package sweetened chocolate chips, ½ can sweeten and condensed milk, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Stir and form into round flattened pieces making a spoon-edge smile and adding candies for eyes. Talk about how happy our family is when we help them.
