New Testament bookmark “I Will be valiant and follow Jesus.”
OBJECTIVE: Use this two-sided bookmark and reading chart to help children memorize the books of the New Testament in order. Challenge them to say, “I will be valiant and follow Jesus,” each time they read the scriptures.
TO MAKE: Print in color or in black-and-white, then have children color the bookmark. Laminate the bookmarks in class using the Contact peel-and-apply paper. Paper punch a hole at the top and tie on several strands of yarn or ribbon.
ACTIVITY: Search and ponder these scriptures and underline them using the bookmark as a ruler. Youth can fill in the circles representing the chapters read.

THOUGHT TREAT (when appropriate): “Seeds of Faith” Watermelon Cookies. Make round sugar cookies and cut in half before baking. When cool, frost with red food coloring and green on the edge (rind), and top with miniature chocolate chips (for seeds).
