CRAFT
OBJECTIVE: The lesson helps children learn that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have perfect love for each of us individually. They loved us before we came to this earth; They continue to love us now, and Their great love for us will never change. During His earthly ministry, the Savior demonstrated a great love for little children in particular (see Matthew 18:5, 10; Mark 10:13–16; 3 Nephi 17:11–24).

LESSON. Use SUNBEAM Lesson 1 “Heavenly Father and Jesus Love Me” (found HERE).
POSTER ACTIVITY – Love Photo Poster
1. Print the poster that follows for each child to color. Glue a photo of the child in the bottom heart. You will need to take a photo of each child a week before. If this is not possible, draw the child’s face in the heart instead.
2. Talk about the poster, saying, “Heavenly Father loves me, Jesus Loves me, and I love Heavenly Father and Jesus.”
3. Talk about the Home Activity: “Hold a mirror up to me and tell me that I am loved very much by Heavenly Father and Jesus.”
THOUGHT TREAT: Blessings Basket. Have children take food from a basket to share (e.g, cheese [from a cow], orange [from a tree], crackers [from wheat]). Talk about each item by saying, “Heavenly Father and Jesus gave us (item) because They love us.” Say a blessing on the food before eating.
