CHILDREN’S LESSON ACTIVITY. BEE-ATITUDE BLESSINGS wheel. Children can learn from these ways that they can be happy like Heavenly Father. These attitudes were taught by Jesus in His Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:1-12) to 5,000 people. By living these attitudes we can be blessed. For example, “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” Each action brings a promised happy blessing.

“Bee”attitude Blessings wheel
ACTIVITY: Create a “Bee”attitude Blessing wheel with Humble Bee, Merciful Bee, Pure in Heart Bee and more, to remind children of the truths Jesus taught during His Sermon on the Mount and the Nephites (after His death and resurrection).
TO MAKE Print “Bee”attitude Blessing wheel parts A and B for each child. Attach parts with a paper fastener (metal brad or button brad) placed in the center. (To make a button brad, sew two buttons together on opposite sides, threading thread through the same holes, to attach blessing wheels).
THE BEATITUDES WHEEL:
Matthew 5:3-10 – Also, 3 Nephi 12:3, 4, and so on to verse 10
verse 3 POOR IN SPIRIT BEE “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
verse 4 MOURNING BEE “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.”
verse 5 MEEK BEE “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.”
verse 6 RIGHTEOUS BEE “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled (with the Holy Ghost).”
verse 7 MERCIFUL BEE “Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.”
verse 8 PURE IN HEART “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.”

verse 9 PEACEMAKER BEE: “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.”
verse 10 PERSECUTED BEE: “Blessed are they which are persecuted (for my name’s sake) for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
THOUGHT TREAT: Honey Taffy. Tell the children that the “bee”attitudes and other truths Jesus taught helped the people to “bee” happy.
SCRIPTURE CHALLENGE CARD: Help children Search and Ponder this scripture card by filling in the blanks. PRINT this 5 x 7 scripture card from the pdf included with the above activity. You can punch the two holes on the left and tie a ribbon to attach cards or use two metal rings to connect cards.
