The lesson helps children understand that he or she can choose the right by asking, “What would Jesus want me to do?” See LESSON IDEAS* below.

Help children match cards to the center card that reads, “Think: What would Jesus want me to do?”

1. Print or copy, color, and cut out the activity.

2. Place puzzle pieces in a plastic zip-close bag for each child to take home.

THOUGHT TREAT: Think WWJD Cookies. Decorate sugar cookies with frosting. Write or draw, using frosting in a tube, something they can do to follow Jesus (WWJD – What Would Jesus Do). Then have children think of what their cookie says, sharing with others ways to follow Jesus.

TALK:
• Ask the children “Why is it hard to choose the right sometimes?” Ask them how they feel when they choose the RIGHT. Ask them how they feel when they choose WRONG.

TELL:
Tell a story of a child who chose the wrong and didn’t feel peace.

     Examples. HERE are two rebus/picture stories on choosing the right and following Jesus).

• Explain to the children that even though it is sometimes hard to choose the right, we can be happy and feel peace when we do.

Have them sing the song “Dare to Do Right” or “Nephi’s Courage.” DOWNLOAD the visuals below to teach these songs (shown right).
