$2.00 SING FOR A SLICE pick-a-song & singing meter: Primary Music Singing Time Activities to Motivate Children to Sing, download from GospelGrabBag.comDESCRIPTION: As children learn the songs by choosing a slice of pizza, they will see how well they sing by the slices of pepperoni placed on their pizza.

Note:
They will not only acquire a “taste” for music, but they will “hunger” for gospel messages. The singing leader can keep pizzas on a poster week after week to remind them each Sunday how well they are progressing on the songs.

To Make: Print, color, and cut out pizza and pepperoni slices. Write the year’s practice songs on the pizza slices. Laminate.

To Use:
1. Have children come up and choose a slice of pizza to know which song to sing.

2. Then as children sing, have someone judge how well they are singing by placing a slice of pepperoni on the pizza: COLD for not so good, WARM for good, and HOT! for really good singing.
3. The judge can move the slices onto the pizza slice and take them off as the song progresses. Children may sing HOT! at first then grow COLD toward the end of the song. So the pepperoni slices can be moved on and off the slice according to the singing quality. Some songs will give them, for example, a HOT, HOT, HOT or a COLD, WARM, HOT.
