Word of Wisdom – Voting Ballot

OBJECTIVE: To help youth understand and desire to live God’s law of health found in D&C 89 called The Word of Wisdom and the blessings that come.

YOUTH CAN TEACH using this LESSON 24 The School of the Prophets and the Word of Wisdom from the Primary 5 Doctrine and Covenants and Church History manual.

Review the enrichment activities 3 and 4 in the manual for which this activity illustrates.

ACTIVITY: Word of Wisdom Voting Ballot 

Have youth read the statement and vote “yes” or “no” by checking the column next to the statement. This will help youth make healthful decisions. They can look up the scriptures and fill in the blanks.

TO MAKE: Print or copy, color, and cut out the voting ballot pattern for each youth.

THOUGHT TREAT: Healthful Choice Food. Talk about the variety of foods we have to choose from that are healthful. Bless the food and thank Heavenly Father for the healthful choices we have and for the revelation of the Word of Wisdom given to us through the Prophet Joseph Smith.
