Matthew 22:36-39 Reads:
“Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”

MUTUAL NIGHT, SEMINARY, SUNDAY SCHOOL, FAMILY HOME EVENING ACTIVITIES
HAPPINESS IS A GIFT YOU GIVE YOURSELF: Tell young women, “As a young woman thinketh, so is she.” You are what you think you are. Don’t wait for someone to give you the positive feelings about yourself that you need. Have faith in yourself and know that you are a daughter of God. You are divine in nature and you can achieve your fullest potential if you pursue worthwhile goals, live the commandments, and pray for strength. This week practice smiling three times a day, thinking, “Happiness and confidence is a gift I must give myself.”
PAMPER-YOURSELF NIGHT: Tell young women that the hardest commandment for some to obey is to love themselves. Get together and do manicures, pedicures, makeovers, hair trims and styles, etc. Have someone there to coordinate it (a professional). Talk about sleep, nutrition, and exercise. Encourage young women to “sharpen the saw”—to always work to feel their best. This gives them more ability to attend to others.
SERVE HEART-SHAPED WHOLE-GRAIN SANDWICHES: To make, cut bread into heart shapes using a cookie cutter or knife and add cheese or cream-cheese spread. When serving, tell young women that if their heart is full of love for others, they will in turn love themselves.
YOUTH TESTIMONY SHARING: Ask youth to share their testimony on the lesson subjects below. Click on the QUESTION* next to “Come, Follow Me” Lesson to lead you into a discussion or the sharing of testimonies.
