Thanks a Bunch! sunflower pot (appreciation gift)
OBJECTIVE: Youth can create paper sunflowers to place a note on the back to then place in a pot that reads “Thanks a bunch!” This can be given to the bishop to express appreciation as a group, or they can make one individually to give to a loved one to express their gratitude.
BISHOP APPRECIATION: When presenting this Thanks a Bunch! flower pot to the bishop, each youth can read their note on the back of their flower and place it in the pot.
DAD APPRECIATION. This activity is also a great way for children at home to honor a DAD or GRADFATHER.
TO MAKE Print activity in color or black and white (and color). To create a pot, color and cut out the label and glue it to a terra cotta pot. Fill the pot with candy. You will need straws to mount flowers, notes, and leaves.
Youth can write their notes on the inside of the flower, cut a slit at the top of the flower (where indicated) and insert smiley face fab in the slit and fold over taping on the back side to secure. Fold the tab so the smiley face covers the note. Tape the top half of a straw to the back of the flower and tape the petal just below the flower (as shown).
