The objective is to teach about how ordinances and covenants bring us closer to Jesus Christ

This BUNDLE is to give youth leaders many activities to teach the above theme for the bi-weekly lesson.

Look for these activity handouts to help you teach lesson concepts and give them TEACHING TOOLS to plan and develop lesson objectives. These lesson-match interactive activities will add to and enhance your lessons.

LESSON-MATCH ACTIVITIES IN THIS BUNDLE INCLUDES (detailed below):

DESCRIPTIONS:

(1) POST-AND-PRESENT ACTIVITY. ANCIENT & LATTER-DAY TEMPLES throughout time puppet show. Youth will learn that temples are a sign of Jesus Christ’s true church in His time (when drove money changers from the temple) to today where He visits His house). Learning about ancient temples built by Moses, King Solomon, Nephi, and Joseph Smith.

(2) YOUTH QUOTE. BAPTISMAL COVENANTS & THE HOLY GHOST ColorQuote. Youth can memorize “When we understand our baptismal covenant and the gift of the Holy Ghost, it will change our lives and will establish our total allegiance to the kingdom of God. When temptations come our way, if we will listen, the Holy Ghost will remind us that we have promised to remember our Savior and obey the commandments of God.” – Elder Robert D Hales

(3) YOUTH GOAL PLANNER. LEARN MORE ABOUT THE SACRAMENT. Youth can ponder scriptures regarding the Last Supper, sacrament hymns and prayers, and why they partake of the sacrament bread and water. Here they can note promises to make as they partake of the sacrament thinking about their baptismal covenants. Promise Ideas are noted on the planner (from them & Heavenly Father).

(4) POST-AND-PRESENT ACTIVITY. CELESTIAL BLESSINGS Sunshine Show-and-Tell. Youth complete the sentences after the word “because …” found in the sun’s rays. For example, “When I see the temple I feel Heavenly Father’s love because … “I know that in His temple I can make covenants to return to Him.”
