OBJECTIVE: Help children understand that we are blessed when we obey the commandments.
LESSON-MATCH ACTIVITY: Review enrichment activity 4 in the manual for which the following activity illustrates.
ACTIVITY: Blackout! Promise Puzzle
Challenge children to find a very special promise for keeping the commandments. Follow directions to find the message, writing the scripture below: “I, the Lord, am bound when ye do what I say; but when ye do not what I say, ye have no promise.” D&C 82:10.
THOUGHT TREAT: Testimony Treats. Award children with one treat for every commandment they can list on board, and two for listing how they can obey this commandment.
