What think ye of Christ? Journal
To help youth learn what it means to have faith in Jesus Christ, do the following (making 2 copies of the What think ye of Christ journal page):
1: Journal Page (copy#1): Give youth one Journal page (shown) and ask them to write what they think of their Savior, Jesus Christ. Make sure they enter the date.
2. Ponder Cards: Cut out scripture cards (shown) ahead of time and give youth a set of cards. Ask them to search and ponder these scriptures and write what they think of Jesus Christ on each card, as it pertains to the scripture.
3. Journal Page (copy #2): About two months later or after they have completed the cards (see #2 above), do the following: Give youth the second journal page “What think ye of Christ?” and ask them to again write their feelings about the Savior. Have them date this journal page. Then compare the two testimonies. There will be a difference.
4. Testimony: Follow with a testimony meeting*.
TO MAKE: Print activity in color or black and white (making two copies of “What think ye of Christ” journal page; see #1 and 2 above).
MUTUAL NIGHT ACTIVITIES
WALK WHERE JESUS WALKED:
Have someone who has been to the Holy Land come and tell where Jesus walked and what he did. Or, go through the New Testament and Book of Mormon to see where Jesus walked, asking each young woman to take a specific story to present in chronological order, spotlighting the life of Jesus. Encourage youth to take these home and present during family home evening.
BOOK REVIEWS OF JESUS CHRIST:
Have youth pick their favorite chapter of their family’s favorite book (or magazine article or story) about Jesus Christ. Give each youth five minutes to tell about the chapter.
Book Review Ideas: Jesus the Christ, Believing in Christ, Faith Proceeds the Miracle, and other books by latter-day prophets and General Authorities.
