TO FIND LESSON: Present Lesson 39 – Primary 6 Manual – Old Testament: Job.
OBJECTIVE: To help the children have faith and remain strong through trials. Review enrichment activity 1 in the lesson manual for which the following activity illustrates.
ACTIVITY: Trials bird pop-up
As you read Job 27:2–5, D&C 121:7–10, and D&C 136:31, help children think about trials that make them strong spiritually. Tell children that faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will help them overcome trials. We can increase our faith to become strong to overcome trials as we read the scriptures and obey the commandments. Each time we overcome a trial we become stronger for the next trial. Move straw and bird head up and down in pecking motion as you read the message.
TO MAKE Print and cut out the Trials bird pop-up for each child. Tape a straw to inside of one bird head. Glue bird heads together. Lay straw and bird head on the inside the egg. Glue blank sides of eggs together leaving the top and bottom open for the straw to pull through.
THOUGHT TREAT (when appropriate): Trial Trail Mix. Mix cereal, nuts, chocolate or carob chips, raisins, and other dried fruit to make a trail mix. Place some in individual bags. As you munch, tell children, ‟This is trial trail mix. As you look at the different ingredients in this trail mix, think of the different trials you might face as you follow the strait and narrow trail back to our Heavenly Father.”

Ephesians 6:11-13:
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
