YOUTH GOAL ACTIVITY. I WILL FOLLOW THE PROPHET ponder doorknob hanger. Youth can write ways they will follow the prophet on this door sign. They can listen to the prophet in general conferences and read His words in Church magazines. For example, the Prophet Russel M. Nelson said to “gather Israel” to bring people to the Lord’s Church. We can do this by preparing to do work in the temple, being a missionary by showing a good example to our friends, and inviting them to church meetings. These goals can be listed here.

Prophet Ponder (Doorknob Hanger)
Objective: Read a recent conference address given by the prophet (in the May, or November Ensign magazine). Decide what you can do to follow the prophet, and do it.
TO MAKE
1. Print, color, and cut out the Prophet Ponder Doorknob Hanger.
2. Write what you will do to follow the prophet on the doorknob hanger after reading the conference address (detailed above).
3. Hang the Prophet Ponder in your bedroom or bathroom door as a reminder.
THOUGHT TREAT: Follow the Prophet (Butterfinger Candy Bars).
1. Give each girl a small Butterfinger candy bar. (Option to a candy bar is celery stalk or broccoli trees.)
2. Open the bars and look inside. The candy inside looks like tree bark. Tell girls, “Each year a tree grows strong as it reaches toward the sun, receiving moisture to grow. We too grow each year as we listen to the prophet. Our spirits and testimonies can grow strong from learning the gospel and obeying the commandments.
