Commandment Concentration match game
OBJECTIVE: Play the Commandment Concentration game to remind children how Heavenly Father helps them as they obey the commandments, bringing them blessings.
To Play: Place the cards facedown on the board or table. Play in teams or individually, having youth take turns turning two cards over to make a match. When a match is made, the player can tell how keeping that commandment brings a blessing. If no match, turn cards over in same position facedown. The team or player with the most matched cards wins.
Match Cards Are: Pray Daily, Serve a Mission, Love Others, Attend the Temple, Partake of the Sacrament, Pay Tithing, Read Scriptures, Obey the Word of Wisdom
TO MAKE Using cardstock, print or copy, color, and cut out the Commandment Concentration match cards (two sets) for each child.
THOUGHT TREAT: Commandment Chips. Let youth munch on potato chips as they play Commandment Concentration. The chips can remind them to “chip” in and help others, this way we are obeying a commandment to LOVE OTHERS.
SCRIPTURE CARDS: Help children Search and Ponder this scripture card by filling in the blanks. PRINT this 5 x 7 scripture card from the pdf included with the above activity. You can punch the two holes on the left and tie a ribbon to attach cards or use two metal rings to connect cards.
