OBJECTIVE: To encourage each child to share the gospel and develop the qualities needed to be a successful missionary.

LESSON-MATCH ACTIVITY: Review enrichment activity 5 in the manual for which the following activity illustrates.

ACTIVITY: Bendable Missionary Dolls

MISSIONARY WORK – Activity: Bendable Missionary Dolls – for Doctrine and Covenants Primary Lesson 13: The First Missionaries Preach the Gospel, Sunday Savers, GospelGrabBag.comThese dolls will remind youth of the qualities they can develop to be a successful missionary: knowledge, diligence, virtue, brotherly kindness, temperance, charity, faith, patience, godliness, and humility. To Use Dolls: Bend them so missionary will sit on scriptures to remind youth to read them.

TO MAKE: Print or copy, color, and cut out a girl or boy doll for each youth on cardstock paper. Glue or tape pipe cleaners or wire on the inside of doll parts to connect parts. Then fold front over pipe cleaner or wire and glue parts in place. 

THOUGHT TREAT (when appropriate): Gingerbread Missionary.
