I Have a Strong Spirit! I Can Say “No” to Temptation! poster

 

OBJECTIVE:
• Help children make a strong decision to say “NO” to temptations with this “I have a Strong Spirit!” poster.
• Help children learn that Jesus set the example for me by resisting temptation.
• Help children learn four ways to resist temptation. 

ACTIVITY:

1. Read 1 Corinthians 10:13 “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

DECIDE to choose the right by thinking ahead what will they will do when a certain temptation comes.
PRAY to avoid temptation, knowing that Heavenly Father will help you.
LISTEN to the Holy Ghost as the Spirit tells you what is right and wrong.
KNOW that Heavenly Father loves you and will help you.
