Plan of Salvation Concentration GAME
OBJECTIVE: Help youth learn about Heavenly Father’s plan of happiness (known as the plan of salvation), and how Jesus Christ helped with this plan.
TO MAKE GAME print, color, and cut out the visuals. Tape word cards on the back of the sunray cards, matching numbers. For example, place the #1 card on the back of the #1 sunray card. Tape sunrays around the circle in any order.
TO PLAY: Say, “Let’s learn about Heavenly Father’s plan of happiness, known as the plan of salvation. Let’s learn how Jesus Christ was part of this great plan.”
1. Divide youth into two teams to compete, or just choose one at a time to participate. If dividing into two teams, write Team #1 and Team #2 on the left and right side of the board.
2. Ask the youth to come up one at a time and draw two numbers. Tell them that behind the sunrays are words that describe Heavenly Father’s plan of salvation and how Jesus Christ was part of this great plan.
3. After two cards are drawn, turn them over and read the message, e.g., #4 card “Under Heavenly Father’s direction” matches with card #6 card “Jesus created the earth” (completing the sentence). If the two cards are not matched, place them back into position for the next team to try.
4. Once you have found the match, mount the cards on the board (with magnets or tape) on the Team 1 or Team 2 side of the board. The team with the most matches wins!
5. When all cards are matched, review each completed statement with the youth.
