Goal Idea & Motivators: Plan a GOAL program for yourself that may include any goal using this SPREAD MY WINGS – My Goal form with Weeks 1-4 Sunday – Saturday. Participate in the program for one month.

PREPARATION FOR ACTIVITY:
Print visuals for children or youth to help them achieve their goal.
#1 TO USE the Goal Chart/Tracker: Children/Youth can write their goal on the butterfly body. Then place a check or smiley face on the days they achieved their goal (Sunday a day of rest, or work on the goal that day if Sunday related).
#2 TO USE Mirror Motivator: Children/Youth can place this card on their mirror, over a light-switch, in the car, or on their refrigerator. Also, motivator can be placed over a light-switch, in the car, or on the refrigerator. The Motivator reads: “SPREADING YOUR WINGS. Did the butterfly ever look back and wish it were a caterpillar again? … NEVER! Keep Spreading Your Wings.”
#3 TO USE Motivational or Award Badges: Give children/youth these when you check up on their progress or award them for a good job.
ASSIGN TREATS:
• See matching THOUGHT TREATS (below).
• Have children/youth share their favorite recipes with you and you could make them during activity or have them make them ahead to share.
THOUGHT TREAT (“Spread Your Wings” Butterfly-shaped Cookie). Make sugar cookies in butterfly shapes. Have children or youth decorate with different colored tubes of frosting. Thought: As you eat, think of ways you want to spread your wings, developing goals: SPIRITUAL, SOCIAL, PHYSICAL, or INTELLECTUAL.
