BELIEVE: I Will Think of Jesus testimony building blocks puzzle


OBJECTIVE:
As youth build these blocks they can learn to be thankful for Jesus Christ, their Savior. This will increase their desire to follow Him.

ACTIVITY: Testimony Building Blocks Puzzle

Help youth discover ways to remember Jesus during the sacrament and daily life. Ask them to: (1) Cut out the word strips and mix them up laying faceup on the floor. (2) Use the extra sheet of cardstock paper and place the words on the paper in the correct order. Then glue blocks on paper as shown above.

ORDER OF MY TESTIMONY BUILDING BLOCKS:

During the Sacrament:

• I will think of how He suffered and died for us.
• I will think of the words to a sacrament hymn.
• I will think of stories from Jesus’ life.
• I will think of one of Jesus’ teachings that I want to start living or live better.

In My Daily Life:

• I will pray to Heavenly Father each day in the name of Jesus Christ.
• I will honor my parents.
• I will be kind to family members.
• I will read the scriptures.
• I will obey the commandments.
• I will be reverent in sacred places.
I will help others in need.
I will attend my church meetings.

THOUGHT TREAT ‘S’acrament cookie. Cut out cookie dough in a 3″ x 1/4″ shape. Cut the letter ‘S’ in each cookie before baking, or frost cookies, and write the letter ‘S’ with frosting in a tube or zip-plastic bag method. Give the youth a cookie and say, “The letter ‘S’ in this cookie reminds us that the ‘S’acrament is a ‘S’acred time each week that we remember the ‘S’avior, who ‘S’acrificed his life for us.”

ACTIVITY INCLUDES – SCRIPTURE CHALLENGE CARD: Help youth Search and Ponder this scripture card by filling in the blanks. PRINT this 5 x 7 scripture card from the pdf included with the above activity. You can punch the two holes on the left and tie a ribbon to attach cards or use two metal rings to connect cards.

And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it. And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.”
