ACTIVITY: Peacemaker Light Switch Cover
Children can place this cover over their bedroom light switch to remind them to shine brightly each day, showing love and concern for others. Remind them they can make their home more peaceful by doing kind deeds and helping those in need.
TO MAKE:
1. Cut out the light switch cover that follows for each child.
2. Ahead of time, cut out the center of light switch cover with scissors or a Xacto knife or razor blade.
THOUGHT TREAT: Peaceful Pudding. Serve a large bowl or individual cups of pudding with a whipped cream smile on top. Remind children that when we are happy and others are happy too when we are a peacemaker. Share ways to be a peacemaker: Sharing toys, waiting for their turn at the drinking fountain, and raising their hand before they speak in class.
TESTIMONY: Testify that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ want us to be peacemakers. Remind the children that when they try to be peacemakers at home, they and their families can be happier.
