SINGING TIME. “MY HEAVENLY FATHER LOVES ME” song visuals. Youth can post these visuals to teach this song to children as the circle telling of His love surrounds the image of The Father holding our world showing that everything in the world was created for us. For example, “Whenever I hear the song of a bird Or look at the blue, blue sky” …“I’m glad that I live in this beautiful world Heav’nly Father created for me.”
*SING: My Heavenly Father Loves Me” (Children’s Songbook 228).
1. Whenever I hear the song of a bird
Or look at the blue, blue sky,
Whenever I feel the rain on my face
Or the wind as it rushes by,
Whenever I touch a velvet rose
Or walk by our lilac tree,
I’m glad that I live in this beautiful world
Heav’nly Father created for me.
2. He gave me my eyes that I might see
The color of butterfly wings.
He gave me my ears that I might hear
The magical sound of things.
He gave me my life, my mind, my heart:
I thank him rev’rently
For all his creations, of which I’m a part.
Yes, I know Heav’nly Father loves me.

IDEAS TO PRESENT THIS SONG:
To Make and Use: Cut out the images and mount word cue cards (found here) on back. Color and laminate. Place double-stick tape on backs.
• Talk About: We are spirit children of Heavenly Father. He gives us blessings. Both Heavenly Father and Jesus love each of us.
• Post the Visuals: Have children take turns posting the visuals around the world as you sing about them. Have children stand in line in the order the visuals need to be sung.
• Popsicle Stick Posts: Mount images on wooden craft sticks (as shown) and pass out to children. They can come up and stand in correct order to sing.
