9 pages (color/black-and-white visuals and instructions)
DESCRIPTION: Have fun either building or deconstruction the snowman while you sing. Snowmen pieces choose the songs and birds choose how or who will sing. Don’t forget a fun snowflake singing award!
Use this activity to help children choose a song and more.
This is a fun winter activity and keeps them interested in singing as they build the snowman.
Create a singing snowman with birds and an award.
Have fun building the snowman while you sing. Snowman pieces CHOOSE THE SONG, and birds CHOOSE HOW OR WHO WILL SING THE SONG.
Don’t forget a fun snowflake singing award: “You’re singing melts my heart!”
TO MAKE Mount visuals on cardstock paper, laminate, and cut out.
TO USE Arrange the visuals randomly along the side of a poster or chalkboard, or put the pieces in a bag to draw from. When a piece is chosen, the child or leader can read the song and the child can tape the piece to the poster or board to build the snowman. Children can choose the pieces in any order, e.g., they can choose a nose before there is a face to put it on. Have them position it about where it will end up (or move the face if the head comes last, etc).
