POST-AND-PRESENT Activity:
The Life and Mission of Jesus Christ puzzle match
SUBJECT: MY FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST GROWS WHEN I KNOW WHO HE IS
OBJECTIVE: To know Jesus Christ. Youth will learn how Jesus is the center of our life, and that He made our present life and our eternal life possible. Youth’s faith grows as they put together a puzzle that identifies eight things about Jesus. They will also learn of the eight wonderful blessings they will receive because of Jesus.
TO MAKE Print, color, cut out, and laminate 16 puzzle pieces and the Jesus circle in the center. You will need two posters to use as follows:
1. Mount the whole puzzle (intact/uncut) on a poster. Then laminate the entire puzzle onto the poster and cut out the individual puzzle pieces.
2. Then laminate an extra poster to assemble the puzzle onto as you present it.
GAME & DISCUSSION:
Choice #1 Know that once you discuss these they can become a PUZZLE MATCH where you can place the pieces face down on the table or board and take turns turning them over to make a match. Each time a match is made you can discuss them.
Choice #2 Put the puzzle pieces together and simply discuss each. The puzzle pieces could be placed around the room for children/youth to discover and place around the Jesus circle.
DISCUSSION POINTS:
1. Talk about Jesus, who is the Son of God, our Savior, Teacher, Brother, Creator, and Judge (shown on the center of the puzzle).
2. Review the puzzle pieces starting with the 11-o’clock “Jesus is Heavenly Father’s Son” and moving clockwise. As you put the puzzle together one puzzle set at a time read the scriptures for each or talk about each (see below*).
*Scriptures:

- Jesus created the earth for me . . . so I could learn to follow Him (Mosiah 4:2, starting with “we believe).

- Jesus was baptized to show me the way . . . so I can return to heaven (Moses 6:52).
- Jesus taught us the gospel . . . so we would know Heavenly Father’s commandments (3 Nephi 18:10).
- Jesus suffered for my sins . . . so I can repent and be forgiven (D&C 18:11)
- Jesus was resurrected . . . so I can live again (Mosiah 15:20).
