OBJECTIVE: Encourage children and youth to memorize the Book of Mormon’s promise found in Moroni 10:4-5, to gain a personal testimony of the Book of Mormon, and to study and live its teachings (another testament of Jesus Christ).
ACTIVITY: Moroni 10:4-5 Bite-size Memorize
And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.
TO MAKE Print the poster for each child/youth.
THOUGHT TREAT: Cross-Your-Heart Pretzels. Enjoy crossed pretzels to remind children/youth that to cross their heart means to faithfully promise. Encourage children to read the PROMISE in this scripture and the PROMISES found in the scriptures (trying out the Book of Mormon Promise).
SCRIPTURE CARDS: Help children Search and Ponder this scripture card by filling in the blanks. PRINT this 5 x 7 scripture card from the pdf included with the above activity. You can punch the two holes on the left and tie a ribbon to attach cards or use two metal rings to connect cards.
