SINGING FUN. “I WANT TO BE A MISSIONARY NOW” song visuals. Youth will want to let their friends and family know they have a testimony of their own. They can do this now, not wait until they are mission-age. As their testimony makes them happy they can share it, e.g., “the gospel was restored,” “the Book of Mormon came to be” and more. Write the words on the cue cards to place on the back of the visuals.
SONG VISUALS:
“I Want to Be a Missionary Now”
(Children’s Songbook, p. 168)
Teach children the song “I Want to Be a Missionary Now” using these song visuals – Lyrics:
1.
I want to be a missionary now.
I don’t want to wait until I’m grown.
I want to share the gospel while I’m young,
For I have a testimony of my own.
2.
I want to tell my friends about our church
And the happiness it brings to me.
I’ll tell them how the gospel was restored,
Tell them how the Book of Mormon came to be.
3.
Then I can be a missionary now.
I don’t have to wait until I’m grown.
I’ll live each day the best that I know how,
And they’ll see I have a testimony of my own,
A testimony of my very own.
