CELESTIAL Choices
“When you make choices, I invite you to take the long view—an eternal view. Put Jesus Christ first because your eternal life is dependent upon your faith in Him and in His Atonement. It is also dependent upon your obedience to His laws.”
Think Celestial! – Russell M. Nelson’s Talk

CELESTIAL Choices
As you think celestial, you will find yourself avoiding anything that robs you of your agency.”

Choosing a Consequence spin-the-bottle (Immediate, Future, and Eternal Consequences)

HOW CAN I CONSCIOUSLY MAKE CELESTIAL CHOICES EVERY DAY?

YOUTH CAN TEACH that each choice has a consequence: Immediate, Future, or Eternal.

ACTIVITY:

SET UP THE GAME by taping it to the floor. Have a bottle to spin.

PLAY THE GAME sitting on the floor spinning bottle inside lines. Bottleneck points to one of the signs. Choose and read a smile or frown wordstrip. Then name the consequence for the action read, e.g, the “Immediate Consequence” for “Stay up late” is you are tired the next day. Collect the smiles. When all is read, the team with the most “smiles” wins.

Don’t miss the story* (STAYING ON THE NARROW PATH) about a young woman’s father who taught her to drive the tractor in a straight line when planting; this way the weeds would not grow (on crooked lines). Compare this to temptations throwing us off course (changing our life direction); Think CELESTIAL!
