Little LESSON LIFESAVERS
Baptism by Immersion 3-D movable scene
OBJECTIVE: The lesson helps children understand the importance of baptism.
See LESSON IDEAS* below.
ACTIVITY: Baptism by Immersion 3-D movable scene.
This baptism scene shows how children can be baptized by immersion like Jesus. A paper fastener (brad) allows the figure to move in and out of the three-dimensional water below.

TO MAKE Print or copy, color, and cut out the activity. Attach baptism figures with a metal or button brad where indicated. Fan-fold water tabs and glue to the scene. Move figures down to immerse in water. To make a button brad, sew two buttons together on opposite sides (threading thread through the same hole) to attach the figures to the paper.
THOUGHT TREAT (when appropriate): Birthday Cake with Eight (8) Candles. Light the candles and blow them out one at a time with adult supervision, but don’t light candles in the church meetinghouse; just pretend to light and blow them out there. Each candle can represent ways to get ready for baptism Place candles on the cake as you name 1–8:
• Candle 1 Pray daily.
• Candle 2 Attend Primary and sacrament meeting each week.
• Candle 3 Learn about the scriptures.
• Candle 4 Be honest.
• Candle 5 Pay tithing.
• Candle 6 Be kind to family and friends.
• Candle 7 Follow in the steps of Jesus.
• Candle 8 Be eight years old and be interviewed by the bishop or branch president.
