Alma and Amulek MISSIONARY Flip Story
ACTIVITY: Help youth learn the importance of faithfully obeying Heavenly Father’s commandments. Create a flip story to show how Alma and Amulek obeyed Heavenly Father and served their mission.
TO MAKE Print cards (on cardstock) and word-strips (on lightweight paper); color and cut out (DO NOT CUT INSTRUCTIONS OFF CARDS!) Glue cue cards 1-6 on backs of picture cards. Be sure to START gluing card 1 on the back of picture 6. Tape over holes before punching holes, or punch holes and use page reinforcements. Place string loosely through holes to make a flip chart.

SCRIPTURE CHALLENGE CARD: Help children search-and-ponder this scripture card by filling in the blanks. Print this 5 x 7 card from the pdf included with the above activity. You can punch the two holes on the left and tie a ribbon to attach cards or use two metal rings to connect cards.
Alma 8:15 “Blessed art thou, Alma; therefore, lift up thy head and rejoice, for thou hast great cause to rejoice; for thou hast been faithful in keeping the commandments of God from the time which thou receivedst thy first message from him. Behold, I am he that delivered it unto you.”

Discussion and Application Questions
Study the following questions and the scripture references as you prepare your lesson. Use the questions you feel will best help the children understand the scriptures and apply the principles in their lives. Reading the references with the children in class will help them gain insights into the scriptures.

What do you think you would have done if you had experienced what Alma did when he first went to Ammonihah? (Alma 8:13–14.) Why did the angel tell Alma to rejoice? (Alma 8:15.) How do you feel when you have obeyed Heavenly Father’s commandments?
