OBJECTIVE: Tell children that The Book of Mormon is a book of scriptures telling about the people who lived in a different part of the world, in ancient America. It is another testament of Jesus Christ besides the Bible. After Jesus died and was resurrected, He appeared to the Nephites who lived in this land. It tells how He blessed the little children and the people and taught them. It tells how much they loved Jesus.
Also, TALK ABOUT THE BIBLE where Jesus blessed the children.
CRAFT ACTIVITY – I Love to Hear Book of Mormon Stories Poster
1. Print or copy the activity poster to color.
2. Talk about the poster, saying, “I love to hear Book of Mormon stories about Lehi and his family traveling to the promised land. We learn about Helaman and his 2,000 young sons who were righteous and fought bravely. We learn about Jesus blessing the Nephite children. There are so many stories that warm my heart, and they will warm your heart too. Let’s read them all.”
3. Talk about the Home Activity: “Tell me stories about those who followed Jesus Christ in the Book of Mormon. Help me understand how much they loved Jesus and how much he loved them.”
