Fishing for Success! - recognition activity
Theme: Fishing for Success
With these fishy activities girls can really “catch” the spirit of goal setting as they learn to “tackle” their goals.
Plus, you can recognize goal achievement with a “Great Catch!” award certificate.
Then, they can fish on their fish-shaped plate for fish-shaped food.
Invitation
Girls will be encouraged to attend as they receive this “Fishing around for something fun to do?” invitation. Write details of when and where on the back. Note: Parents can be invited to attend. Deliver a week ahead.
Goal Motivation Activities
Activity 1—Go Fishing for Success!
Girls learn 12 ways to tackle their goals as they read motivational thoughts, e.g. “If at first you don’t succeed, fish, fish again! Don’t ever give up.” Girls read the success cards to share success ideas written on the cards. (Details are in the pdf.)
Game Favor: Make a set of cards for each girl to include in the Fish Tackle Box.

Activity 2—”Tackle Your Goals”
Create a Fish Tackle Box for each girl to place goal cards, certificate, and Go Fish cards. Introduce the right Fishy-Fish method for goal achievement (details are in the pdf).
Activity 3—”Great Catch!” Award Certificate (for fishing with success, and achieving her goals) – Award girls for specific goals achieved with this (details are in the pdf).
