OBJECTIVE: Help children appreciate their eyes and what they can do.
CRAFT ACTIVITY – My Eyes Help Me See – Giant Eyes Headband
1. Print or copy the activity. Cut out and tape together, fit headband to child’s forehead, and tape or stick together with sticky-back Velcro.
2. The giant eyes on the headband can remind children that their eyes help them see many things: colors, books, stars, flowers, bugs, and motion.

THOUGHT TREAT: Soda crackers with olive eyes and cheese eyelashes. To make, cut an olive in half. Using squeezable cheese, squirt a little cheese in center of cracker and press half an olive into cheese for eye. Squirt strips of cheese around olive to make eyelashes.
SINGING for Sunbeam Lesson 19 – I Am Thankful for My Eyes: Sing “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.” For fun actions, go to the same song in the Super Little Singers book (131) or CD-ROM.
