I Am Thankful for Trees, Plants, and Flowers

OBJECTIVE: Help children feel gratitude to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ for trees, plants, and flowers. When we pray, we can thank Them for these beautiful creations that help us.
CRAFT ACTIVITY – Heaven-sent Garden – Bracelets or Binoculars
Print or copy the activity. Fold and glue or tape into triangle shapes to use as follows:
Bracelets: Children love to use these as bracelets, slipping them over their hands.
Binoculars: Children like to look through them, pretending they are binoculars and looking up and down and all around the room. They look at nature, the teacher, and the other children through these fun triangular shapes.
THOUGHT TREAT: Edible plants: apples, carrots, celery, or broccoli. Children like to call broccoli “trees.”
SINGING for Sunbeam Lesson 10 – I Am Thankful for Trees, Plants, and Flowers: Sing “In the Leafy Treetops” and “Popcorn Popping” (Children’s Songbook, 240, 242).
